Official 1 year mark!

I will definitely be taking more pictures of this hat!

What a sweet, sweet little girl.

Malia's actual due date was last week. She's at her official 1 year mark!

The next big 1 year mark will be when she came home

from the hospital, last June 29th. She continues to strive and fill

our home with lots of love and joy!

She has not used her feeding tube for the past 2 months,

which is a big praise! We hope to get it taken out soon as long as

she is gaining weight appropriately. Her next weight check is this week.

Trouble!

This is what happens when Daddy is traveling and mommy is trying to cook dinner. The punkies is getting into trouble in the pantry. She found a chocolate covered pomegranate and made a mess all over her face.

We've nicknamed her "punkies". Harley started calling her that one day and it just stuck. It fits her well, it's either "punkies" or "punks"

Drinking from a Straw

This is Malia's new trick, she can drink from a straw! The liquid is still "honey thick" but it allows her to get more liquid at one time and it's a stepping stone to get her off the bottle.

I'm One! Malia's little b-day party

We had a little party for miss Malia with my sister's family and several good neighbors/friends. My dear friend, also neighbor, also amazing photographer was so generous and so kind to take some pictures of Malia and all the decorations that I had spent weeks making. Malia wasn't too interested in her cupcake. I tried giving her a little bit but she didn't want any. That's ok, it made for easy clean up and no bath. Maybe we'll try again in June when it's suppose to be her birthday.

Making the decorations was a lot of fun. Harley was in Kenya so it gave me something to do after the girls went to bed. I made banners, cupcake toppers, table decorations, party favors, the birthday cake and Malia's birthday onsie. We just had so much fun celebrating this little girls life!

Happy Birthday Malia!!

Wow, what an awesome day! It feels so good to be celebrating Malia's birth today! Considering where we were last year and all the emotions we felt not knowing if Malia was going to survive, today is a great day! She is absolutely perfect and has grown and changed so much this past year. She is just so sweet and we are SO THANKFUL for her life! What a miracle!
